So far, I have to say Monument Valley:

Grand Canyon is definitely up there too, but I didn't have as much time to spend there. And it was about 20 years ago when I was there.

So far the Grand Canyon. I hiked all the way to the bottom and camped overnight there and then hiked back out the next day on a different trail (Kaibab trail down, Bright Angel trail up)

I'd definitely go again but to do the rim to rim hike.

Nice. I'm definitely interested in doing something like that. I also want to see Montana and Utah some day.

Thats definitely a good one. Ive spent a total of about two weeks in Humboldt. Ive also been to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Park when I was a little kid. Id still rank the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley over those places, but those places are definitely worth visiting for people who have never been there.

Yeah, Utah is definitely worth a trip or two. I went to Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef last year. I got permits to camp in Zion and Bryce Canyon but wasn't able to score one for Capitol Reef so I stayed at a hotel nearby. I'd probably go back to Zion if I had the chance since there was just too much to do and I only had two nights there (namely, I'd bring proper attire for doing the Narrows hike where you wade up the river deeper into the canyon).

Did you go with a group? I want to do this. I'm in good shape and know my stuff from years of climbing, but I have two hang ups. One is that I refuse to use a mule because I hear they are mistreated. The other thing is that I don't know a group to go with, so I would conceivably need to backpack all my stuff down and back. The logistics got me to bail on the idea.

Yeah, I went with my brother, my cousin, and my dad. It was in early May so the weather was good.

We mostly all backpacked our own stuff though. The only thing that was shared was my cousins backpacking stove, pot for hot water, and gas. You dont need to carry a huge amount of stuff for just an overnight stay in good weather. I just slept on a little air mattress with a light sleeping bag without a tent since there was no chance of rain.

I had a 64oz hydro flask bottle for water that I would refill when able. For food I ate a big breakfast before starting, and then had a mountain house freeze dried meal for dinner, another mountain house for breakfast the morning at the bottom, and then an MRE for lunch about halfway going back up (at the Indian Garden where you have restrooms and water available)

I just wore the same clothes during the entire hike, maybe had a change of underwear but cant remember for sure.

I wore long sleeves, jeans, and a sun hat, while putting sunscreen on my hands and face. I also had a small first aid kit but didnt need to use it.

I was pretty beat by the time we made it back up but if my dad at 62 could do it, then anyone in good shape and adequate preparation should find it manageable.

I did reserve a night at one of the lodges inside the park on the rim so we could just crash after making it back up and didnt have to worry about traveling anywhere else right away.

Maybe Mount Snodonia or however it's spelled. In Wales. My family took a train or whatever that goes to the top. Somewhere at my parents house is a photo of me on the top standing in clouds. It was the only time I ever was in a place like that.

Mt Fuji. It looks really cool in the winter time on a clear day, one of the few places in the world that actually looks exactly how it is depicted in fiction.

When I used to live in Alaska, I went to, I believe, Matanuska Glacier. If you havent been to a clean glacier, they are something else. You can see the pure, green water running under them, and they just look beautiful too.

Grand Canyon
Stone Mountain State Park in NC. One of my favorite places to be.

Also, there's a spot on my parents property that is awesome. There's a large creek (big enough to get a canoe in and technically only a few miles short of being a river, just to give an idea on the size) that has a bend in it. I love sitting on the bank there and look at that bend, and there are a ton of rocks there too. It's my favorite place to go to when I just need to get away and reflect.
