I liked the Monster Hunter aspect of it just not wild about the building aspect of it. Never got into Fortnite. But still wondering how is it?

Looking at it reminds me of games that try to come at Dark Souls. Most the time there's no reason not to just play Monster Hunter instead. It's begging for a fraction of their fanbase.

Could be good tho. I haven't played it lol. You're just not gonna live up to Monster Hunter on your first effort.

Eh I don't mind. I like variety and niches and finding hidden gems.

I tried the pc version but it ran terribly. Low or high settings didn't make a difference, it was painful to play. I'll give it another try after it gets several more patches.

I think $70 is a bit much when you can buy the competitor with like 20 times more content for occasionally half or less of the price. I didn't like how the attacks worked either. I think it's a bit too free flowing. It makes the game look like a beat 'em up more than a MH

Im literally playing the port of Risen right now on ps5 lol.

Also, yeah. A lot of the appeal of MH is with most weapons you gotta time your attacks right. In the same way as Souls games. Turning it into a hack and slash would make it something else. Which, some might prefer that. I definitely don't. Flashiness just obscures my vision and feels less rewarding because Im not even sure what's happening 100% of the time.
