My head cannon is that the Assassination guild is just a known aspect of life and people have their favorites and it's almost like a sports event. In JW2 when they're on the train you see people leave and make room while others fill in to watch in the background. Hence why everyone knows John and why people freak out when the shooting starts but you don't really see the cops getting involved. (Working again? Scene from JW1) The coins are either 1/life or 1/million dollars. I can't really decide and I really think the coins are a rule of cool/mysterious thing. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Considering there have been multiple scenes of carnage happening in crowded places with everyone just still doing their thing I don't even question it.
