Really only for sports broadcasts.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Not really, we only have one good station (95bFM, a student radio channel).

Sort of, but there isn't much to hear.
Except overnight with the BBC World Service.

NPR can be good, but it really is Boomer Radio.
Shity Conservative Talk Radio has become unlistenable, even if you know what you are getting into.
Most of the hour is spent on completely nothing...it's bad radio straight up.

And sports talk only goes on about Football.

Having said that, I still do consider myself a radio nerd.
I will listen to a Radio Scanner if I have to. It's at least live radio.

The Phil Hendrie show was amazing back in the day, and I still listen to past shows.

Definitely. Fortunate to have a great independent station nearby that plays tons of classic rock with very few commercials. They play stuff I've never heard before on a regular basis, lots of live recordings, stuff like that.

I have a Uniden scanner I monitor for local police, fire, etc.

And another portable that receives the air-band. Another for the 2-meter ham bands. Usually always some chatter on there. Plus short wave. Hear some crazy stuff on there with just a small portable and a long wire. Farthest I've picked up is Belgium all the way over here in North Carolina.

Plus AM DXing is great. Listen to a lot of baseball games that way.

I used to listen to real national radio broadcasts all the time when I was into sports. (Not podcasts).

Now, almost never.

Only when my satellite radio stops working for no apparent reason. Im guessing it has to do with how old the unit in my car is, as both it and the car are over a decade old last I checked.
