Too bad very few gamers truly understand that NGB for the OG Xbox is something quite unique to that console and has never been duplicated.

Everyone always compares it to DMC, but I always thought it was more like Dark Souls.

I put a hole through my wall trying to beat Alma on Master Ninja.

I had the non-black version and I thought it was hard enough but then the hurricane pack made it straight up not even fun to play anymore.

The other versions of the game like sigma, toned down the difficulty and unfortunately, the entire series suffered the same fate of being nowhere near the challenge of NGB.

Sigma is easier, but it's still a fine alternative. It mainly was a QoL update and streamlining some segments

IDK if NGB has the upgraded, armored demons but in Sigma they kept pulling me down a floor when climbing the demon tower and it was very frustrating.

I can't really get excited for NG4 knowing Hayashi is still there and Team Ninja/ Tecmo's BS from the last 15 years. NG3 killed the series and company for me

They do, but I think those rooms have different enemies in sigma compared to Black

I don't think it's worse, just different. The combat is the same, it doesn't have the BS moments, and is still miles better than any NG3.
