Especially ones that abuse glitches bore the shit out of me. One day I was in a Spyro mood and decided to myself, "You know, Big Dick McGee, I'd like to watch someone play this really well!" so I looked up a speedrun of spyro 2 and it was just some dude skipping through all the bounds of the levels, flying around in the aether until he found a specific loading point. And immediately my dick deflated. the spyro glitches that involve proxy jumping are somewhat hard to pull off without reloading save states over and over again so I genuinely find it impressive when people are perfect at them during a run. spyro 2 is def the most broken tho because of the double jump glitch which is not hard to pull off it's jump and then charge while holding the jump button lol. i think spyro 1 has the most entertaining speedruns of the three games since it has a more limited movement (no hover no double jump no swim glitch) and arguably requires the most skill to get it done quickly glitchless or not --- I'm a Taurus. Some people sit there resetting and resetting and resetting. Some people play game with excruciatingly long intros and incredibly tedious moments for who knows what reasons. I don't hate the speedrunning scene entirely. Sometimes they find easy glitches that can make normal playthroughs of games a lot more fun. I don't outright hate any% shenanigans either, but there is a point where it stops being interesting to watch or try to replicate. One thing I don't like though is speedrunning history videos.
