I came into the vid all ready to get a big anti cop hate boner but then I left kinda flacid

Guy was speeding
Cop pulls him over for speeding but doesn't say why he pulled him over. Asks for ID
Guy refuses to give ID
Cop and him argue about whether it's legal to demand ID
Guy eventually hands over ID
Cop goes back to his car and whines that the guy is annoying
Video cuts out for 2 minutes
Cop gives guy a ticket for speeding
Guy is claiming cop is deleting evidence for the upcoming trial

Since the guy was speeding, the cop does have probable cause to demand ID. That's not a violation of the 4th amendment. Also the cop does not have to tell you why he pulled you over. This is sneaky but it's a tool to gain information. If you're speeding and the cop pulls you over and you say "YEah sorry my tail-light is out" or "I've only had one beer!" you've just given him rope to hang youtself with.

Sure it's shady as fuck that a snippet of the footage is missing but it's not body cam footage, it's not dash cam footage, it was a guy on a ride along recording for entertainment purposes and the part that's cut out had nothing to do with the probable cause, cop interaction with the citizen or the citation that was given. It's not evidence IN THIS CASE about this traffic stop.

Even if the cop randomly screamed out "Boy sure how do I love cocaine, I'm gonna go do some more cocaine this weekend. Yummy yummy cocaine in my tummy! Mmmm Cocaine!" for no reason, yeah that shouldn't be deleted and the cop should be investigated but that wouldn't change this interaction and this specific charge in this specific case.

Feel like sliding this alongside cops actually doing really fucked up stuff when the perp is completely inncent is muddying the waters

Like how cops did this guy dirty:

https://youtu.be/BemHqUqcpI8

Short white guy robs a place. Cops arrest the first big black guy they see instead. Despite knowing he is innocent they hold him for 3 days with no cause and no evidence while repeatedly lying that they have proof he did it and threatening him over and over to get a false confession.

What do you generally anti cop CE users think? I feel like I'm gonna get heat for this one

Cops do have to tell me why they pulled me over and laws don't get to tell them otherwise. My rights trump theirs at this point.

So, I dont know this for certain or not for the reason in this instance, but as someone who works in the system..

The cut footage, since this was taken by someone on a ride along, may have been cut for privacy reasons. If the cop took the mans ID back to the car to run him, that would be protected data via DOR database, as well as NLET and in state databases which have very strict privacy rules.

Being cleared for a ride along doesn't clear you to have any sort of copy of that info.

Mysterious

Not really. I've stated before on here, I work in my local jail. Civilian position; but I'm the one who deals with anyone brought in, I handle inputting, removing, confirming warrants, ect. Run criminal histories, book people in..

Because of that, I have access to many of the various databases for the tasks I have to do. More than most actual sworn officers, since the permissions are on a "You do or do not need this.", so officers have little access; while Detention and Dispatchers tend to have the most. So, I've had to go through the classes and safety procedures for all the information and who can/can't get it. Everything is tracked very closely.
