Like a big growth spurt, losing or gaining a lot of weight in a positive way, putting on muscle..etc Your personality is still the same, the only changes are external but they amount of respect and common decency you get from people is like night and day.

Yeah. I had a real glow up after high school and suddenly all the girls who thought I was a weirdo were willing to bang at my five-year reunion. Of course by then they'd all gained a ton of weight so I had to pass.

Yes. When I became large, nobody fucked with me anymore, because I could skull drag them across the parking lot.

I think it makes sense that people do treat you differently based on your appearance. But some of your personality is changed by that too.

not so much that, but until I had Cancer nobody really messaged me consistently within my family. Also, a few years ago when I dropped nearly 50 lbs I was treated differently than when I was 270 lbs.

I also noticed that the closer to death someone is, how greatly they change in attitude. Friends mom was a total asshole. She up and left one night, draining her daughters bank account, taking all their luggage and leaving the poor father to raise 4 kids on his own. Father passes away a few years later from a heart attack, and then she gets diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and she calls up my friend asking for forgiveness. He obviously tells her where to go and how to get there.

Most of the time its a comment on the effort it took and saying things that applaud the result. You look great

I noticed a bigger change in myself, just became a lot more confident in public, which lead to different interactions with people.

Yes: if i worked out and you could tell im more fit than before then people would just treat me better for no other reason.

And yes: me and you treat more attractive people better.

This is just how things go.

Certain states show a lack of self care and responsibility, so it makes sense that people respond positively to that. Though people can also be overly judgmental of otherwise minor flaws, so its a balancing act.

My entire life nearly collapsed in on itself in late 2021 and I was extremely depressed to the point that I wasn't eating much. I would struggle to drink a cup of coffee and eat a peanut butter sandwich most days. I lost nearly thirty pounds over two months. I was visibly miserable.

You wouldn't believe how many people complimented me or made jokes about how they should "do what I did" to lose weight. This included people who knew exactly what I was going through.

I didn't have drastic change, but I do wonder how shallow people really are, if at all.....if I am suddenly not 5'3" anymore and got to normal height.
