And that's Guenter down. Good final boss. A lot of weird shit, too. It's nice to see the weaving of threads from other countries into Crossbell, while also containing Crossbell's story to its own arc. I haven't seen anything with regard to the annexation yet, unless that happens at the very end of the game or at the start of Azure. It's like Zero is its own contained story. You could wrap it up right here and continue on, and there'd be none the wiser.

Pater-Mater is interesting. It's an archaism developed by Weissman, if I remember correctly. It responds to Renne, but she's not controlling it, per se. It has its own core thoughts, and wants nothing but to do what's best for Renne. Right now, that's ensuring that she doesn't escape from Estelle and Joshua.

Yeah there's a lot of weird stuff going on with Guenter there at the end. Azure basically continues from there. One thing you should look forward to is that in Azure, you get a lot more respect and some pretty great perks now that you're a hot-shot cop who stopped whatever the heck Guenter was

I liked that it's more or less an all inclusive title with some tantalizing bits to tease about the future. The story starts and ends. There's no giant ass cliffhanger like in the TitS duology or CS1+2/3+4. You can just play it and be satisfied that the game ended. That's great. I love it.

I was actually surprised by the Guenter twist and I don't trust anything or anyone anymore. He seemed like just a normal doctor who liked fishing haha
