If there were one game in the trilogy to remake, it has to be the first game! After the third game's piss poor reception, I don't think a sequel would make too much sense. Because its been like 15 years and if you have a Sony system you haven't been able to play Dead Space in like 10 years. But no it definitely wasn't needed. I even played the OG game a little while ago on my Xbox and it was fantastic and felt like a basically-new game. or money. probably just "its been long enough and money" - hence why the remake didn't also include #2 and #3. ... Given that the original Dead space creator is off with a new company creating the spiritual successor, they may have decided for legal reasons it was better to reboot the franchise with a new code base rather than reuse source from a team that is no longer around. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
