I was a skeptic because I hadnt enjoyed any of the more modern WWE games. But wow the gameplay just feels great. It's so smooth and fast-paced. --- When it's hard to see the benefits, the tavern is a decent way to seal off all the stimulus, feel something close to death but just a little bit ... It's kind of Smackdown vs. Raw 2007's story mode where there's not an overarching storyline but a bunch of short stories in a row. You can be a face or a heel and you can challenge for and defend the midcard title. But there's not many cutscenes and most of the storylines are built through your in-game Twitter feed so that might annoy some people. --- When it's hard to see the benefits, the tavern is a decent way to seal off all the stimulus, feel something close to death but just a little bit ... Is there a mode where you run the shows and shit? How advanced is that from the mode in like WWE 2k18 or whatever (I forgot what fucking year I last played) --- I'm a long, long way from giving up Call me old-fashioned, call me a fool ... Copied to Clipboard!

Seems to be about the same as it was in previous games except this time they added a mode where you can pick any wrestler or CAW and control just their matches, kind of like an old school season mode. They also brought back GM mode. I haven't tried it yet myself but consensus has been that it doesn't really live up to the SvR GM mode. --- When it's hard to see the benefits, the tavern is a decent way to seal off all the stimulus, feel something close to death but just a little bit ...
