Man I wanted OW2 to be a success before all of this news came out about it but now... idk I don't really want to support what they're doing with this. Shame cuz the original game was really fun when it came out.

It's a reasonable way of keeping down the number of smurf accounts. But I don't have any interest in the franchise by now.

Ive heard the idea is that itll allow people new to the game to slowly learn the heroes before they hop onto competitive, and that OW1 had a barrier to entry before competitive could be played as well. But I dunno if it was just someone shilling.

this actually isn't a bad thing if they lock out the right heroes. there are some heroes that truly new people really shouldn't be trying, and this also stops smurf accounts from playing the heroes the 1 trick smurfs tend to pick, assuming blizz locks the right ones

There are a lot of heroes already in the roster; it just adds extra grinding to the game in order to experience the main part of it - the heroes

I'll be laughing my ass off if that new Gundam games becomes the OW killer.
