We need a new Logan for the MCU Very much agree, but no one has been cast and no new film projects announced (other than this, to my knowledge) so I'll take what I can get until they figure it out. Logan was imho the strongest standalone Wolverine movie, and seeing Jackman go out on a high note was bittersweet in that it was nice that he was able to play the character to its strengths, but at the same time it showed that just as they were finally starting to figure things out with the character film-wise and loosing the creative reins a bit, Jackman decides it's time to hang up the claws. As decent as Logan was, they might've had a real strong Wolverine film on the next go-round. I am eager to see them recast the character, though. As disappointing as some of the films have been, Jackman was consistently good in the role.
