I haven't done this in quite a long time, so can someone please give me an idea of what or what not I need to get off my laptop before sending it in? How careful should I be?

I plan to have it done by the company if possible. (Or someone professional) so should I just take my credit card information off, or passwords too, or what? Do I need to worry about anything more than that?

Couldn't you just delete the browsers and all that stuff would still be attached to your account when you re-download them?

I don't know.

I'm not even sure if I need to get much if any info off there. Like, assuming I take it to get fixed by the company (asus) or by a professional computer company in general, would they even look at that stuff when fixing an hdmi port? I would really hope not.

i wouldn't leave any valuable information on the computer just in case.

I figured. I guess I'll make sure to delete all my credit card info, passwords, etc.

I just hope I don't need to back it all up. I also hope it won't take tong. It's only the hdmi and I believe it's under warranty.
