If Uber can fire you, then you work for Uber.

Ok, so this lady Uber driver picks up a dude at his house, happens to see him with (presumably) his wife and kids. She then drives him to some woman's house where the woman gets in. The driver detects that this is his (alleged) mistress. The driver perceives this to be a morally wrong thing to do, so she drives both of them back to the dude's house and makes them get out.
I think it's pretty clear from what she heard that it was his wife and kids and it was his mistress. The woman was asking him when he was finally going to leave his wife for her.

I think the wife deserved to know she was being cheated on, but that's definitely not something the kids need to be a witness to. My ex cheated on me, but my son does not know, and will never know, that was the reason.

It is by definition not a job regardless of what people consider it.

I think the best thing if she insists on being involved is to go back to the family's house after she's dropped everyone off and tell them about it.

Ok my main point in starting that whole discussion is to just change this narrative. Saul Goodman said she doesnt work for herself, she works for Uber my whole point isnt whether it is a job or not.

Job or not, she DOES work for herself. That is a clear distinction that needs to be made because gig workers are treated as pawns. These people do not work for Uber or Lyft or DoorDash or whatever it is. They work for themselves and I think that distinction would go a long way in people treating them with basic respect.

I really dont care if people say its a job or not.

I can totally see SVU turning this into an episode. Uber driver takes cheating man back to his wife, is found murdered the next day.

I understand what you're saying but I'm not sure it makes any difference to the customer whether they find work through uber or they work directly for them. It's all the same on the client side of things.

In the context of this situation especially, I don't see it making any difference at all. She isn't going to transport people without finding people to move with Lyft/Uber/whatever.

If you're so morally against cheating that you cannot abet it, just drop him off and say, "Sorry, I can't help you cheat."

I guess there's an ethical argument to make for helping those you see in need, like helping a drowning child. But I think, generally, the social contract to mind your business at work is stronger than calling out a cheater.

I agree

I think she did awesome though, fuck cheaters - have your shit aired out
