I rate this topic 8.8.

Expected 8.8 and got it

8.8 was very generous. The game was an easy 8/10.

i remember being more hyped for that game than anything in the world
and i enjoyed it when it came out. even got suckered and bought a wii just to play it sooner like a dumb-ass.

it's a good game. but mediocre when stacked against the hype i had for it. i did it to myself.
definitely not one of my favorite zelda titles, either way.

smash brawl was the only time i remember really liking a game board. brawl board had good vibes and good times.

Console wars was serious.

People seething and malding, as the kids say, after that one Zelda teaser. "Finally, I can shut up those people saying Nintendo consoles are toys and for babies." Then Wind Waker came out and everyone hated it because it wasn't the "cooler" more realistic graphics version they saw before and instead looked like a cartoon.

Next gen gaming was gold back then for trolling. I read it constantly just see the gimmick posters joust.

Well back then, boards were may more active, so 77 posts were realistically achieved in less than a few minutes >_> Probably because it had the n-word in it, so it grabbed everyone's attention lol.

TP but with all the Wolf Link bug hunts taken out and tougher combat would easily be a 9/10.

Honestly, my biggest disappointment was the lack of fun side stuff to do. It was mostly just 90% collectibles, and then fishing and unlocking Malo's shop. That's it.

Plus you get the best shield in the game in the 2nd dungeon. It felt kinda weird to me

It would have been better if they didn't insist on bringing it to the Wii and using motion controls as a selling point.

Anyway, game was good. Midna is Link's GOAT sidekick.

i am in that camp

I still think the game was amazing, although I'm biased since it was my first 3D Zelda.
Looking back and seeing its flaws, I'd probably still give it a 9/10.

To this day, Twilight Princess is still the ONLY game I have skipped out on..

That game didn't even live up to 1/10ths of its hype sadly. The visuals felt dreawy and dark, the world empty and lifeless. And the pacing linear even by most zelda games standards. Stupid east as well, to the point that intentionally dying even was hard.

Probably the second worst 3D zelda game behind skyward sword honestly.
