Consider this like a job out in an oil rig or on a space station, except you are in complete isolation in a decent luxury mansion with gym and outdoor swimming pool. You can bring in all your favourite books or offline video games or jigsaws, toys, model kits etc.

You have no internet meaning no youtube videos, no gamefaqs, no news, no reddit. You cannot contact anyone, a family member could die and you wouldnt be notified. You'll be in complete isolation. And no pets.

How many years of this do you think you can do for a million usd each?

That sounds like a dream besides no internet. Still, probably only two years max depending on how many games I have. I'd like to get out and enjoy my money.

One year easily. Maybe 2 but not seeing family that long is too much

I could probably do at least a few years with no issues at all. No internet or world news sucks though. I don't think I'd want to do more than several years at most.

Whilst most of you think you'll be fine. You're all still interacting with other people through gamefaqs. With absolute isolation from other people. Its going to take a toll on your mental health.

I imagine its going to be tough even to do this for a fortnight. Thats why i included the no pets rule.

No internet would suck massive. Also I couldn't leave my cat and family for that long cause they need me. But if not for that, I'd totally doing a year at least.

My account here isn't nearly as old as the amount of time I've already been in isolation tho. It's not like I know any of you people either.

Once my kids hit 18 I'd do a couple years at least then my wife and I could retire in peace.

If I didn't have a kid, I'd try. I assume I don't have to worry about food. It'd probably seem easy in the very beginning, but I'm sure it's a lot harder than people think.
