Okay, let's talk about Team Rocket.

I don't even know what TR was really doing in Silph Co. It works for trainer battles but why would Giovanni need to take the building that way to get what he wanted?

The adventure's manga is probably the best dipiction of them because they're basically the yakuza/mafia and have their people installed in high positions of society.

I suppose the casino, abandoned mansion and the mewtwo movie helps illustrate they're more than street thugs but you don't get that strong of a impression from the games imo.

The games sorta have a decent storyline available. They just have to take it from everything else like the Origin/Generation anime specials and write it out.

TR in GSC was a joke. I don't think the leader even had a name until HGSS.

While RBYs Rocket never explicitly explain what they're up to, I think it weirdly works.

You're just this random kid on a Pokemon journey. You dont really give a fuck about Team Rocket but you can't get the Marsh Badge as long as these assholes are in town so you decide to hurry things along. >_>

They love Meowth too much to ever do anything to risk losing him that's why they never traded him away.
