Bill Maher operates on the same business model as Ben Shapiro or Jordan Peterson:
- say some wildly dumb shit
- garner attention for having said some wildly dumb shit
- say some more wildly dumb shit to a bigger audience next time around, maybe while playing victim about the criticism he received

But the good news is he doesn't matter and you never have to care about him. Go enjoy your Sunday instead.

As usual, Bill Maher produces word salad to obfuscate the fact that hes only discussing issues at surface level and that hes completely missing the underlying point.

Works of fiction aren't historically accurate even when they're based on a true story?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!

Maher is making a false equivalence by claiming this is as bad as conservatives literally rewriting textbooks (you know, what's actually taught in schools, not a play or a movie).

He also compares people centuries ago to children, even though he recognizes that slavery still exists to this day. He trots out white supremacist talking points about slavery: "not just black people were enslaved!" "Africans were selling the slaves!!" "anyone who could afford it would own a slave, even black people!!!" and he basically argued that slavery is the nature of humanity, but then somehow he doesn't seem to understand that humans in the past are similar to humans in the present in other ways??
