I recently started playing Wipeout Omega again, both in VR and normal. What an incredible game.

I remember to play multi-player for the PS1 you needed 2 playstations and 2 tvs and that was dumb as fuck

Despite both being futuristic and fast, they actually aren't very similar. It's actually pretty hard to get into wipeout if you never played it before because it leans heavily into learning how to use your air brakes to turn corners, which does actually have a pretty steep learning curve.

WipEout also has weapons, so it has a bit of that Mario kart energy.

Wipeout for Sega Saturn was a great game

I love wipeout, but I suck so bad at it I can't enjoy it. Maybe once I have the patience to dump dozens of hours into it just to learn to not be a pinball I'll pick it up again.

I used to play it alot, very fun how technical and challenging going for those fast times is racing games like this series are great

Had the Omega Collection since day 1 but I always sucked online because the fanbase are goddamn masterminds knowing physics for each vehicle brand for any track and speed class.

So damn awesome in single player tho.

Omega in VR is a total mindblow

i like Wipeout but i cant get my friends into it to play some local multiplayer. they complain that its too wacky and fast paced for them... lol

Advanced: Piranha / Qirex
Expert: Feisar

Van Uber has the mobility of Feisar and speed of Piranha which is straight BS.

WipeEout is one of the only series of racing games where maneuverability actually can be a significant advantage even over faster vehicles, so having both is pretty unfair.

Feisar is popular with both beginners and experts because it makes staying on track easier for beginners and it makes tighter turns at fast speeds better for experts.

I only played XL back in the day and it was awesome! Never really tried any of the other since I was distracted by RPGs

I got HD Fury free after the big Sony hack but only played it for a bit
