Played a bunch and got to Spring 17. On Spring 10 was the 30 day anniversary of my marriage to Ran so I found out she's pregnant. Not sure what the gender will be as I said I will be happy either way, but I'm hoping for a boy. There's only one child in this game, correct? I think in Animal Parade you could have two. On Spring 15 I got my first pet. I got the Bengal cat and named him after my real cat.

My second cow got pregnant so I now have three cows. My second sheep is still pregnant but I think she has like nine days until she gives birth. I have an alpaca so after her wool grows back I'll be getting her pregnant next.

My chickens are doing good. I have all four bred to be able to get ten hearts so now I'm just waiting. I decided to sell my chicken that won the festival because she only had six hearts and couldn't get any more. Ever since winning I didn't get a single golden egg so it's no big loss.

My horse is at max hearts. Tomorrow is the spring derby so he'll be racing. I ride him a lot and take him everywhere I go so I'm thinking I can win.

I have a TON of spring crops growing. Got three nature sprites watering them and one harvesting them all. I have to help them a bit with watering because they don't always finish but they're doing a great job.

Have all my tools to mythril except for fishing pole which will soon have enough experiene for gold.

As for everyone else: since I have a horse now I'm not wasting as much time walking around. I'm able to give more gifts to people so I've been giving lots of eggs, grapes, honey and milk.

I'm down to only 9,000 gold. After buying all my crops and buying a cat + disc, and upgrading my bag, I'm low on funds. I haven't sold my cabbage yet though so I'll have more soon.

This game has alpaca and rabbit too?!

Yeah fam. The alpaca is a barn animal and the rabbit stays in the coop. I don't have the rabbit yet, only four chickens.

question about breeding chickens to get to 10 hearts. my third chicky is now growing big eggs and is at like 4/7 hearts. do i need to get that chicken egg to hatch the next with 8 hearts? or can i still an egg from teh 6 heart chicken

Nope! As long as the chicken is an adult you can go ahead and place an egg into the incubator. They don't need to be at a certain amount of hearts or anything.

Made it to Autumn 1 of year 2

My wife Ran is going to have a baby in a week

All my animals are doing good. I'm continuing getting them all pregnant so I can have max hearts for them all.

My four chickens are all at 10 hearts. One of them won the chicken festival and finally giving me a golden egg every day. Also got an angora rabbit added to my fam.

I have all the nature sprites at max friendship. I still give them honey every few days to make sure their friendship stays up.

Have around 270k gold from selling a bunch of pineapples.

Have the bigger barn and coop. Starting to get the makers as well.

My fishing pole is now gold. It's a pain trying to level it up but at least I'm getting large fish now.

My cat is only at 5 hearts. I think I need 8 hearts to get another pet. I wanted a dog but I doubt I'll get to 8 hearts by Autumn 15. Looks like I'll have to wait until next year.

Did I mention my horse won the spring derby? The odds were very low at 48x so I won close to 2,000 medals.

Just be careful because once you get a pet, you need to wait until it gets to 8 hearts to get another one, which can take a few seasons.

I forgot if the game comes with a coop or not >_> I know you have to buy the bigger coop. But if you don't have any chickens yet then yes get the coop and start getting chickens. Make sure you start bringing them outside as early as you can when they get to max hearts so you can get the platinum eggs.

I suggest not straight buying the materials. Use your axe and hammer to smash wood / rocks until you have enough.

What other things do you not have? Might want to start breeding cows to get the best milk since that will take a while as well.

Another suggestion is buying four more trees from Gotts and giving the honey to the Nature Sprites every day.

You start with the coop and barn in Mineral Town.

oh yeah, i gots the coop. i'm pretty far ahead i feel like for my first play through. i sold my first chicken and my 8 heart chick is now a little pip. my second cow is still unmilkable and i just bought the llama breeding kit which i'll start once she's in the fuzz festival. i have 4/8 filled in the barn and figured i'd just be breeding them to fill it up and buy the other cows once i get one to 10 hearts. also, realized i fucked up and could've bred sheep or llama like weeks ago. wasted time.

idk if i'll be able to get another crop of carrots down tho. if i plant them on the 23rd, will they be able to be picked on the 30th before it goes to winter? kinda nervous buying them.

i have about 40k in hand right now. guess i could buy expanded storage and fridge, but idk what else to do with my money.

Uh I'm not sure but if they don't you can always use the exploit which I'll post below. It would just be for one day so it won't be a big deal. Also, make sure you save first because on the morning of Winter 2, Mayor Thomas will request an item from you and you can only turn it in that day. You may have to save scum a bunch of times in order to get an item you already have. I was able to have him request the black grass after about 30 resets. He also asks for mushrooms a lot so save at least one of each mushroom if you can.

And now is a good time to start giving Ellen (the old lady) a gift every day because she'll knit you a stocking which is useful for getting a Christmas gift from Mayor Thomas at the end of the month.

As for spending more of your money, you'll need 20,000 for the beginning of Spring if you want to upgrade your farm to level 2. You can also upgrade your coop / barn and get the makers since they're 20,000 each as well.

For example, if you had 93 FAT at 6am, you would first end up with 88 FAT (93 - 5 = 88) and then finally 98 FAT (88 + 10 = 98), which isn't enough to pass out. So that's why you want to have between 95 and 99 FAT.

When the farmer awakes at 6:00 am on the 1st, having 100 points of fatigue will trigger an exhaustion event that lands the farmer in the Mineral Town clinic for the whole day. Not sure. I normally don't have a problem with stamina or fatigue. You can make Udon which only takes flour and recovers 40 stamina which is a ton.

uh...what? lmao that sounds complicated. i made a second save in case the carrots don't grow and will just redo the last 7 days of autumn if it comes to that. actually, idk. was only about 1.2k gold to buy the carrots.

my animal did not win the fuzz fest, but she came back and i got her pregnant. also bought the last 150 materials or so and started the coop upgrade. wanna get that started so i can breed another chicken and my rabbit for winter w/o having to sell another chicky. gotta bump up them egg numbers. so save some shrooms and other grasses to potentially give the mayor?

and i'll need to spend 20k to make mayo and 20k to make butter, is that what the makers are?

I finally got my gold fishing rod to 100% experience so now I can get the mythril fishing rod. Right now Saibara is making me a wool maker for my barn so I need to wait but in a day or two I'll finally be able to upgrade it. I plan on going to the winter mine to get two cursed tools before the month is over. I want the fishing rod and the watering can. I'll save the other tools for next year.

I'm looking forward to the AWL remake. I've never played it before, and that is supposedly the best Harvest Moon in need of a remake.

Ive put many hours into the PS2 version and holy fuck the frame rate is bad so yeah it needed a remake for that alone.

they grew. i'm rich. and it's winter now and went to winter mine for the first time. i gotta figure out how to utilize these mines best and what they're for

The first year I just got to floor level 19 so I could get the power berry. You need all your tools to be Mythril level and then you can get the cursed tools.

After getting the mythril fishing rod I decided to go to floor 29 of the winter mine. Originally I was just going to get the cursed fishing rod and go home, but after getting the cursed tool in about 3 resets I decided to keep going. I got to floor 39 by utilizing the potholes and got the cursed hoe in my first run. On floor 49 I got the cursed axe in my second run. Got the cursed axe on floor 59 on my first run. Floor 69 was the worst because the floor was huge and it took about 5 resets but I eventually got the cursed watering can. After that I ran out of food and I only had one stamina potion left so I went home and made a bunch more Curry Udon and thanks to the elevator I got back to floor 69 after a minute or two. I assumed getting the cursed sickle on floor 79 would be the worst but the floor was small and I got it on my second run. I went ahead and kept exploring and made it down to floor 100 since I was so close.

After I left the mine I went straight to the nature sprites and told them to take care of my animals. Then I equipped the cursed hammer for 5 days and sat around while watching a movie. I repeated the process again for the cursed sickle. Between that time I was able to get some wool from my sheep and turn it into yarn. I gave the yarn to Ellen and she made me a stocking.

Now I have two blessed tools and I'm at the last week of winter.

The other cursed tools are easy to bless at any time but I'll see if I can get them before the season is over.

@spikethedevil for the blessed axe and blessed fishing rod I need to swing the tool 50 times. Can I do this inside my house or do I need to chop wood / catch fish?

IIRC you can do it in your house.

I did them at the Inn because they take a ton of fatigue and I had to keep buying salads.

I think they're an ugly color but I'm using them for the time being. I wish they glowed or looked more angelic. And I found out the lv. 7 hammer destroys all rocks in the level, but the lv. 6 hammer does not. Weird since the axe does.

Correct. You can still talk and feed your animals if you'd like, but I just had the Nature Sprites take care of them.

oh btw last night finally got huang to like me to sell, and i sold him vans favorite for 53k and then 48k. i assume each time i sell it that i'll get less money? got two achievements from 50k and 100k on hand. anyone go for all of them?

spent that money on the wool machine and bought 300 resources and barn upgrade. my second cow is preggers and i got a level 10 chicken. waiting for sheep to grow hair in and then breed it. got my baby llama. so my fam is growing. hoping to not forget to get the pet on the 15th this season.

probably should go get the power berries in the mines. started cooking dishes and learning more recipes through there. should use them and explore mines. i never use stamina replenishers. probably would help me acquire materials faster.

If you have Udon you can make Curry Udon. You need to get the recipe from watching the TV show every Tuesday, but it's what I use. It replenishes 60 stamina and it's very cheap / easy to make because you just need to buy the wheat flour and curry powder from the general store. Bring like 7 stacks and you'll be good.

I just made it all the way to floor 150 of the spring mine and got 3 mythic ore along the way. It's year 3 spring 12 and I'm hoping to have mythic watering can, hoe and fishing pole before summer 1. It's going to take a good chunk of my money upgrading them all but I'll have enough to buy all my summer crops on the 1st.

Water you going to name it

Does anyone know anything about selling animals and using their name again?

I always have special names for each of my animals. My main cow is always named Miki and my main chicken is always named Fuel. When I bred a 9 heart chicken for the first time, I sold Fuel (who only had 5 hearts) and named the first 10 heart chicken Fuel and I noticed his avatar was placed at the top under the animals menu right where the first version of him was. And now I finally got my first 10 heart cow and I repeated the process of selling my first Miki and renaming her and now the new Miki is at the top of the animal menu where the old one was. It's bizarre.

I'm wondering if anything else saves. My first Miki has been outside for way more than 1,000 hours. It's Spring 24 right now. Cows take 23 days to fully mature so my new Miki will be mature to enter the cow festival. If I do everything right and save scum Carter to get max animal points, I should have 8 hearts since she started off with 3.

I'm wondering if the hours spent outside will have carried over and after I win I'll bypass gold milk and go straight to platinum milk.

Either way I'm excited to find out although it will take me a few more days to advance another 26 days in the game.

i honestly have hard time naming my pets and animals. i'm not even certain what i named the capybra i got last night. usually i take pet names that i've had and my current doggos and change their name up a bit. like dog name kaiya, so i have chickens named kai, kaikai, kakai, etc. lol
