My grandma made it to 92 but she was in rough shape at the end and struggling with dementia. I was devastated but also glad for her to have found peace finally. The last years were so hard on her.

Yeah. I had a great-great-great Aunt (she was my grandmother's great-aunt) who I believe lived to be 97. She ended up in a nursing home after she broke her hip, but her mental faculties were mostly there. She had lived on her own up until a year or two before her death. People would stop by to help and check on her. I remember spending the weekend there with my mom once and she (the great x 3 aunt) bought cookies just for me. She was really nice.

I had a great-grandpa make it to 102. I have a grandpa relatively healthy at 91. Both grandmas are even healthier in their upper 80s. It isnt all great news for me though. Both sets of grandparents had children who didnt make it to 40.

My Granny will be 92 tomorrow. Still lives on her own, drives (though not at night) and is doing remarkably well for someone her age. She's always enjoyed going on long walks and doesn't eat much at all. She used to drink wine quite frequently but doesn't anymore due to one of her medications. She is my last living grandparent.

My great grandmother lived to be 102. She needed a nurse for the last few years, but she was still able to drive well into in her 90's.
