Finding all the monuments naturally through exploration, while also having the option to fast travel anywhere if I so choose, is really the best way forward with video games. Both quality of life improvements and a sense of wonderment in exploring the world. Especially since I disliked the AC games leading up to Origins, with Unity being disappointing and Syndicate being straight up boring with the most boring setting despite the potential for interesting protagonists (Evie) and its desire to be Arkham like with the grappling hook. It's funny because I actually stopped playing the series for nearly a decade, I think right after Brotherhood, but when I heard Origins was set in Ancient Egypt that piqued my interest enough to go back and replay all the ones I missed.
