Pretty sure aang only had 3 to 6 months of training by the end of book 3 vs Korra's several years of training by like the first episode of book 1. So it make sense that aang in tla is fodder compared to korra. --- I'm a Taurus I like collecting headphones and iems. My fave game of all time is DMC 3 SE on PC w/ style switch mod. I actually didnt watch Avatar until a few months before Legend of Korra premiered, so Legend of Korra just feels like a seasons 4, 5, 6, and 7 continuation. The hate that that show gets is so bizarre to me. No one does the larger scale attacks TLA is known for anymore favoring smaller pin point attacks instead. That makes it harder to see that every relevant bender in the series is stronger than zuko for example. and She only loses because shes fighting drastically more powerful benders. So I was listening to it and only watching at lights, but it was 99% highway so I just listened. I enjoyed both shows but Im blanking on who Korra ended up being against. I do remember that the brunette she ended up friends with was hot for the style. He was like 8 years old (IIRC) yet he would come in and often take control of the situation. Meanwhile no one cares about Korra and she always defers to others. When she does take command it often backfires. The show didnt treat her the same it did Aang. Similarly Aang is often shown doing crazy feats of bending, whereas Korra is often just shown punching some fire or water in the exact same style. Lastly, and this one is a bit unfair as its their character traits. But Aang is often shown as wise as he is a goofy kid. Meanwhile Korra was just irrationally hotheaded. Just made her less enjoyable to watch in general. The legend of Korra was meant to be a single season and was later just added on to. One of the single best things of The last Airbender was how each episode brought us to a new part of the world and let us discover how it functioned. Korra keeps us almost in the same place for the entire first two seasons.
