Call the cops for what? She's in public. Unless he was taking pics under her skirt or something, it's just creepy and not illegal.

why is CE defending his behavior? Yes she's in a public space and yes there's most likely CCTV or video bloggers whenever she's in public but some rando taking pics of a stranger is weird. You may not be able to take legal action against someone taking pics of you without consent but you do have the right to be upset about it.

So gross and even worse he has his kid with him. It sucks that the victim has to be the one to also call him out. Fucking creep.

following someone around and taking pics of someone in public is considered stalking, actually.

its definitely illegal. Taking pics of people in public isnt, but the way he did it is easily considered stalking, which is illegal.

The lady did a favor for little Billy there. Probably got him a new toy so he doesn't say anything about it to mom later.

Amateurish, just use Camera Sunglasses, you can get them to take a picture via a wireless pen in your pocket.

i don't know the specifics of the law, but i would assume there's a difference between "taking pictures of public area with people in it" and "taking several stalkeri photos on one specific person"

I'm pretty certain it will fall under harassment, maybe not felony but it could be seen as a misdemeanor or something

She's the one who brought up cops. At that point it warrants stating the creeper didn't commit a crime.

If not harassment then criminal mischief. Either way, getting the cops to waste that guy's time is worth it.

oh yeah paparazzi are shitty

but afaik for it to be counted as stalking it would have to be continuous, not just a one day thing

I'd have to imagine several more hurdles would have to be cleared for him to have done something illegal. Probably would warrant kicking him out and possibly banning him from the store though.
