The Iron Man suit at that point was just bonkers OP man. It was basically techno magic. Easily having some protection but he was still fucked up by the end of the fight. Also Thanos isnt using his full power on Titan. Thats the difference between Infinity War Thanos and Endgame. He never overdoes it in Infinity War, he doesnt want to mess things up and not use the gauntlet as his end goal plus he actively doesnt kill anyone that fights him. He'd still have his device so it's not outside the realm of possibility that the other timeline's Tony could just use it to figure out when/where to send him to.
