I don't play online games with huge communities, so it might just be me. But, Shit was overwhelming every time I tried. Nothing I went to was immediately fun and I eventually just played something.

If you know what you getting into and what to avoid buying its extremely fun. But if you dont have friends that play its hard to get into it

I hadnt played for years but when I went back into it people were flying around on fucking space motorcycles with heat seeking rockets killing the entire lobby.

Recently the game was patched where you can do all of the money making activities in a solo/private lobby now. Before this patch, you had no choice but to play in open public lobbies to do these activities, and it was god awful since your average random used this flying motorcycle called the oppressor mk2 to grief any person that popped up on the map.

Not only was this motorcycle nerfed, but rockstar actually removed the ability to have a kill death ratio free roam lobbies. (Padding the K/D ratio was one of the main motivations that your average kiddie went around blowing everything up on the oppresor mk2, so K/D ratio now being only available in competitive game modes pretty much obliterated a good bit of the motivation to even bother with griefing like that. Also K/D ratio was also used as a measuring stick when it came to accepting random players into heist missions.......which imo barely even mattered).

Because of the recent changes now would actually be the best time to play if you wanted to get the most out of the game solo.

to give you an idea on its toxicity be prepared to see swastikas and now Z symbols on armored vehicles
