I've only drank once.

I was raised in an anti-alcohol household and was regaled with stories from my grandmother of abuse from her alcoholic father.

I don't trust myself to drink. I especially don't trust other people I know to drink around them.

Typically 2 drinks a day. Not exactly healthy but under some control.

Ive forgotten what other liquids taste like v_v

I dunno if "used to" fits when you haven't drank for 8 months but weren't trying to quit. I thought about drinking probably 20 times since, I just never end up doing it.

Hate it, used to drink in college but gave it up completely, flower is more my cup of tea

I've been a daily drinker for many years now. I drink pretty much non-stop when I'm not at work or sleeping.

I'm currently 37 years old and don't expect to make it through my 40s.

Uh, maybe like 2-6 beers once or twice a month.

I used to drink at a bar like 3 times a week when I worked at a resto

I smoke a shitton of weed though. Maybe more than anyone here tbh. And cigarettes.

I remember getting into alcohol in high school and it was fun when just a little would loosen me up but the tolerance started becoming bigger and after so much it would stop being fun and start to make me really anxious. Haven't had even a drop since I was 17.

I used to drink a decent bit but around when I turned 30 I pretty much gave up booze entirely because I was always feeling like shit after a night of drinking.

I typically drink alcohol once a week, although I sometimes choose to skip a week. I also typically drink during holidays/vacations.

I enjoy drinking alcohol, but I've never found myself feeling a "need" to have a drink.

Never been a fan of most alcohol, just dont like the taste at all. But Ill have a few glasses of wine during the week.

Early 2021 of the pandemic I was crushing 3 750s a week.

Haven't had any alcohol in about 6 years. I'm willing to drink socially if offered a drink or shots, but I don't drink on my own, and I won't pay for it. I don't actually like the taste of alcohol or the sensation of being drunk or tipsy.

I only cook with it.

Don't like it, maybe a little wine here and there but I'd rather use psychedelics to unwind

I fully accept that I'd probably be classified as a high-functioning alcoholic. I haven't been drunk in a while, but between a lunch drink, an afternoon bourbon or scotch, a couple beers when I get home, and a night cap, I usually have at least five drinks a day, every day, and have been doing that for well over a solid decade straight.

Only social so like once a month I don't have a taste for casual drinking thankfully.

growing up with parents that would consistently get drunk and act horribly to the point where I was diagnosed with ptsd made me abhor alcohol and vow never to drink. I won't be around people who will drink in my presence either, nothing against people drinking responsibly but I personally can't handle being around people drinking and start panicking

We respect each other. Cross paths everyone once in a bit and get along well.

Never have, never will. As I get older I've only found more reasons to never touch the stuff.

Quit years ago. Always got blackout drunk and sometimes I did really terrible shit

I used to drink pretty heavily when i was in the military. wasn't an alcoholic, just a chronic partier.

i just matured some i guess. nothing against drinking, i just dont like to do it unless its a party.

They don't call me Buzz for nothing. Got a whole crew of functional 'liks backing me up.

Not sure what i count as, but i voted "For occasaions" as thats the closest option available (even though ive only done that once)

I have tasted it from time to time, one of which was for the sake of a family member, hence my vote, as well as a way to help with a persistent cough a few times, but normally i avoid it because i hate the taste.

I almost never drink. Last drink I had was at my 10 year high school reunion, and that was in 2004.

Im a hardcore alcoholic so I try to avoid it at all costs. I relapsed a couple times in the past month, and Ive been really depressed ever since. For me it starts with the alcohol but its a pretty short time between drinking and everything going to shit, I get really bad into binge eating and anorexia, sleep in too late, spend all my money, basically spend every waking moment feeling like an abject failure.

Consumption for me has absolutely no moderation, the only limit for my body is unconsciousness and the only limit for my mind is death, I lose control of all of the facets of my identity that I wish to have considered me, I completely disregard other peoples feelings, I become unreasonably angry and spiteful; I cannot overstate how much I despise the parts of me I choose to express when drunk. I want to say that I will never have a drink again but the days that I feel like a whisky will be so damn soothing are much more common than not. Im not having a drink today and Im scared thats as clean from the stuff as Ill ever get.

Damn. That sounds like my relationship with adderall in a lot of ways. Except I more so would neglect others while on it rather than get mad and lash out. And death was definitely on the table at my worst. At my worst, I went out for walks alongside the road just in case my body completely shut down :/. My body would go completely numb.

I only sometimes drink with friends and family, usually because they have some and offered me a drink. Not that I dislike it, I just don't really buy alcohol.

Now soda. That's my vice. Minimum 2 cans a day, more on weekends.

i drink mainly on weekends.

Allergic, especially to whiskey. I can take a sip of lighter drinks but that's about it.

I only drink on special occasions

I'll drink on certain situations, like getting the family for X-mas and stuff where everyone will have a beer or something that day, and times where its just the excuse to be social "hey wanna go grab a beer?" kind of stuff.

Outside of those situations, its basically never.

Not interested. I've had beer a couple times and it didn't seem worth drinking unless you want the buzz alcohol gives, which I don't. I've tried wine once and it wasn't particularly appealing either. The only alcoholic beverage I've tried that actually tasted decent was a White Russian. I'd have that again maybe.

I was a daily binge drinker for about 20 years, but quit when I got my pacemaker. Other than one binge a few weeks after my mother died, an occasional drink or 2 with dinner is it.

don't understand why people fall to alcoholism when say something like food and sugar seems so much more appealing. other shit i haven't tried is smoking and narcotics but even those seem far more appealing than alcoholism.

Hate the taste. So alcohol is like a stranger to me lol. Although, I do want to try hard mountain dew, whenever that comes to my state, and see how strong the alcohol flavor is.

Used to drink socially. But had a depressive spell and responded by drinking just to get through the days over 3 months.

When that depressive spell abated, I started therapy and really looked at myself I realised I'm likely to express self destructive behaviour so I became a teetotaler to avoid.
