That topic was created to point out Googles hypocrisy. So what?

My point has been clear from my very first post in this topic. This has been about bashing others phone choice and essentially bragging about your phone choice, usually when very uncalled for. The only people I see doing that in the topic you posted are Android users. 3 of the first 4 responses in that topic literally prove my point about typical Android users.

Nope, I have no problem pointing out fanboyism whenever I see it. I just see a hell of a lot more of it from Android users who seem to really care whether someone else is using an Apple phone when theres literally no reason for them to care. At least Apple users have good reasons (loss of functionality like iMessage, Facetime, Airdrop) to care whether someone else is using an iPhone.

I'm mostly an Android user, but there's definitely a cringe level of insecurity and overall misinformation that comes from fellow Android users. Especially ones who consider themselves adults.

Though iMessage fanboyism has definitely grown to a silly level in recent years with the green text stuff.

Those articles didnt prove a thing. Did you even read them? Most of them are about like ONE PERSON saying something on twitter and then a whole article was written like Apple users wont date Androids as if it were some huge trend.

As far as bashing people, again from the beginning Ive been strictly talking about the Android users who bash people for their phone choice (like calling Apple users sheep just for having the iPhone), which is still only something Ive seen Android users do (multiple times in this topic in fact). I made that clear in my first post.

Me calling out their childish behavior does not make it the same. I have zero problems with Android users who go on about their own business.

Read my previous post. One person saying something on Twitter and then an article being written is not indicative of a trend. You seem to be under the impression that I dont believe any level of Apple elitism exists, which is not something Ive ever said or implied. Explain how someone posting an article about Google complaining is in any way close to what Ive been talking about in this topic since my very first post, which was unprovoked bashing. Ironically, the topic you posted proves my point. A harmless fact was posted and the response was for 3 Android users to immediately make sure everyone else knew that Apple sucked.

For the record, Id have zero problems with a similar article being posted about Apple (or any company). Hypocrisy should be called out.

Most of the reason why I've always been an Android user is because of its ecosystem closely resembling a PC. I can integrate my phone to the PC and it acts as external storage. Makes it easy to transfer shit. I prefer to keep my data local, not on a cloud somewhere.

Exactly, you literally can't transfer shit to pc as easily with an iPhone. I will never understand people's obsession with iOS!!!

Phones are worthless for anything other than making phone calls. Everything else it can do is done better on another device like a laptop, PC, TV, etc.

In fact, ever since I found you can link your phone to your computer I never look at my phone except to answer phone calls when I'm not at my desk.

I think they are only popular with teenagers because they can't afford better and don't have their own space for a TV or computer.
