Mother specifically takes place in America, and Earthbound largely takes place in Store Brand America.

Guess most Sonic games also count. Sega's kinda wishy washy on *where* exactly the games take place but they're all basically just Earth with loop-de-loops

Skies of Arcadia

This one is tricky since it's more about the cultures (and their locations) than the shape of the continents.

Shadowrun is set in Seattle in the 2050s.

Amazing game by the way if you can get past the point and click combat and 90s RPG grindyness.

Fucking someone else whose played that incredible game. You are a man of taste, sir.

Thank You!!

It's a shame how many people who even know about it.
It was a day one purchase for me. I may have pre-ordered it.

Really is a special game.
It really is gaming as a form of art.

There's a ton of games that go off into alternate history. That's like the bread and butter of fiction.

Fallout 3 comes to mind

We shore are!!!
I was just binging some game play of it.

Without spoiling anything, the ending is so rewarding, and the way they handle the credits is just amazing, heartwarming, and in keeping with the tone of the game.

I also say that to say, the replayability is incredible.
That I can talk about without it being a spoiler.

A 360 game...and PS3.

Which a shame, it really needs a release even if on Steam.
It sucks there are only two ways to play it.

It's an on-rails shooter.
The pedigree of which is Sega with Rez.

That is an alternative cover for an old 360 game.

was TC's "based on earth" means games that located on earth, or a fictional world that's not earth by name, but definitely based on real life earth?

if the former, there's tons of it.
if the latter, Ace Combat's Strangereal world comes to mind.

I completely agree and I really should go back and play it again but I'd have to set up my 360 and all that. Which reminds me, the game should really get a PC port, I'd kill for that to happen.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi is a genius and is probably the most underrated video game creator.

I also used the inside-out cover art. Shit was so good.

I didn't know there was inside cover art?
As in you could flip the cover?

My copy doesn't look like that.
I have this one...this isn't my pic btw.
