It was on netflix so long that I ended up rewatching the series, and a lot of it still held up. I'd say first 4, maybe 5 were pretty good. It gets weaker but still good overall

The likable characters are why we keep watching, kitty and red being fan favorites especially red.

It's probably still my favorite sitcom with a laugh track. Red and Kitty (particularly when they have to react to Bob and Midge's shenanigans) still hold up. And the panties episode is still comedy gold.

Obviously putting aside Hyde's actor being a rapist and the last season sucking, does the show still hold up? I loved it as a high schooler..... but I was also a dumb high schooler sooooooooooooooo >_>

Now that I'm a working bitter adult, is the show still good or nah?

what difference does it make if the actor was a rapist? is the show all of a sudden less funny after the fact when you previously found it funny and enjoyable?

im not condoning his actions in any way, shape or form as theyre of course deplorable. a show or movie shouldnt all of a sudden suck because you found out about one actors bad behaviour

This is a tough one because on the one hand there are other people (maybe 100's) who worked and contributed to the show.
Should their contributions and work be invalidated because of one crappy person?

On the other hand you have a show like the Cosby show where I don't think there is any way you could watch it and enjoy it now (at least I couldn't)

Sometimes it takes one person to really ruin it for the rest of us.

nah not me. i can easily watch those shows because i separate them from reality. im able to separate the actor for what they do on screen from what they do in real life

again, i do not condone bad behaviour or anything deplorable but in that half hour where theyre acting as someone who makes a show enjoyable i can watch it with ease. Seinfeld is another show where i can watch it and have a laugh despite the actions of one of the main characters off camera
