easily the worst remakes by far

the only changes were in the underground which were good but if u think about it all they REALLY did was give you the platinum pokemon available

I dunno, they're the only main games I haven't played at all. I even played Let's Go Eevee for like an hour. The main games have no appeal to me anymore.

They suck

Awful remakes. I didn't like Diamond/Pearl when they came out but BD/SP felt like a crappy fan game.

They were about as I expected. Except I never actually finished because I told myself I was going to soft reset for a true odds shiny Dialga for god knows why

Maybe after sunbreak and xenoblade 3 i'll go back to it

Disappointing.

Best thing about it were the glitches, and they removed that. Took ages for them to add the goddamn GTS, by which point I long since already filled the Pokedex and dropped the game.

And of course no Battle Frontier because fuck us.

Really bland looking. Glitches saved it from complete and total apathy being shown toward it.

By the way, semi on topic but did they ever do something about the Pressure ability? I keep thinking lately about how lame it was they just slapped Pressure on the three birds, Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, the beast trio, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia and more. They did them a disservice. I always wanted them to swap it out for something more interesting or unique. I feel like the beast trio should at least have Flash Fire, Motor Drive and Water Absorb.

Can't believe it's been 25 years since the original Diamond and Pearl.

I really enjoyed it - having a bit more of a "classic" pokemon game that has the current games' QoL improvements and missing the flaws modern games have are great. All the added stuff is phenomenal, and if you want a fun pokemon game on Switch, its the one I'd honestly first suggest. And I like all the Switch games.

And people vastly overrate Platinum, especially now. Like it definitely carries the story for the three, but really, it moves the 3rd gym leader to a less dumb place, and there are like 2 extra scenes of dialogue. And the Platinum story is still really stupid. Like it doesn't actually save it much. Platinum has the Battle Frontier and that's really pretty much it. Which yeah, would have been fun.

If we treated them like an actual pokemon game, instead of starting with a bad review because pokemon is now a toxic fanbase for some dumb reason, I think it would be much more liked.

I mean time aside they are fine games. I think people just expect too much from every remake that they ignore the fact that a remake can be any number of kind of remakes.
