Have heard others say that it was entrapment , do you agree? Did you have a problem with hanson's methods?

i enjoyed watching those, what i cant stand is the knockoff vigilante ones that are all over social media who run around as a group recording with their phones and uploading them to youtube

if youre going to help these pedophiles, then properly help them instead of humiliating them for likes and views

It was a guilty pleasure of mines, but I stopped because I know shows like these do more harm than good in trying to help pedophiles/predators with their actual problems.

their tactics are not too different from to catch a predator, only difference is the youtube ones can't have the guy arrested.

I loved them. It is reality tv in its purest form. Also he never said he was a cop. "We'll get to that later" is a neutral statement. In some cases he even flat out says "oh, im not a cop." Granted, its at the end of the convo when he has enough info from them.

I thought it was fascinating to watch as the guys' lives crumbled before their eyes as they first got caught by Chris and then by the police when they exited the house. The uncut interviews you can find on YouTube show that even better.

good entertainment

A few of them have passed away tho so i no longer make fun of them. The doctor wolin i believe committed suicide, the air force guy died i cant remember how, and jeff stacey died under mysterious circumstances.

I was entertained, but not really sure of the legal aspect in terms of it being entrapment. But, uh oh well, I guess. >_>

You can say that it was entrapment but those men made a conscious decision to show up.
What if it wasnt a sting and it was a young boy/girl being taken advantage of.

I think even if you ignore the "morally is in entrapment" argument, there's just the factual "To Catch A Predator" seeming lead to people getting charges dropped against them, at which point the question is what the point? If you don't care about whether the people actually faced any sort of consquences or received any rehabilitation, it just seems like a weird sort of "pedo hunting" sport, which is why you see many knock off channels on YouTube with a build your TCAP kit.

Some of the guys had already been convicted of the same crime they were trying to commit again.

Also the judge in tx who threw the case out is a fucking idiot. Thats why the substitute teacher was able to get another job in iowa somewhere until one the kids was like "this guy looks familiar."

Wasnt it only like season 1 or something where they got to walk away? In the later seasons they worked with the police on official stings

Correct the first season was done on really low quality cameras and the police were not involved.

A lot of the animals showed up with condoms, alcohol, and lube.
These guys fully knew the person they were chatting with stated they were underage and even referenced what they were doing is illegal.

There was even one episode I remember someone showed up with their 3 year old son.

There was one episode where the guy started aggressively moving towards the decoy and Chris had to step into the room ahead of schedule to protect her.

One of my favorite things to watch. Was absolutely nuts what some guys did and what their screen names were.

This. Ultimately it's never about catching predators or protecting kids, it's about views and ratings.

It was bad and good. Basically entraping bad people with the intent to do good while entertaining the viewers. I don't feel bad for laughing at pedos at their expense though these people are vile and would end up doing that to real girls.
