I dont get it. Yes, the money will help the families struggling with inflation but this just makes the problem worse right? Its temporary relief that causes even more inflation. Seems like a very poor idea to me.

Yeah we had a $90 billion surplus this year. But a lot of it came from federal handouts so it may still be part of it.

no, inflation is caused by monetary policy not fiscal policy

in this case we have supply chain issues driving it as well

Inflation doesn't happen cause of stimulus checks. People who said such were big banks who don't actually care about the issue and were lying.

Inflation jumped long after no stimmys were given and unemployment was horribly gutted.
