What a shit time to have to make a decision like this, but who knows how long I have before my marriage is annulled and insemination is banned for single women.

And of course physicians don't get paid maternity leave because that's something first world countries do.

My wife and I both want a child but her frame is quite narrow and would almost certainly necessitate a C-section, whereas my half-Chinese heritage didn't seem to impact my wide-ass hips.

So anyway wish me luck soon.

I have a mortgage at 2% interest and all my family lives here.

Plus getting a medical license in another state, etc.

Well I look as white as a character from Sound of Music but my wife is first generation Ethiopian-American so she is worried.

It's weird how the racial stuff panned out with me and my brother. He looks 100% Chinese and I look like I belong in the Swiss Alps.

I would strongly reconsider if I was in your position because if there's a complication or ecoptic pregnancy you might just fucking die instead.

But I'm sure you know the risks already.

Im sorry you are now forced into this position. And kudos for being thoughtful of your wife. I have a small frame and did require c section.

Tangently related but: All Kansans need to vote No on August 2nd. As it stands now the state now services Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma for abortions.

What about like the American woman who suffered a partial miscarriage in Malta? Since the fetus still has a heartbeat they wouldnt abort there. Even though she in was in danger of sepsis. She luckily is finally getting medically evacuated out of that shithole and getting the abortion in Spain.

As someone who is such a tomboy that I literally haven't worn a dress in decades (although my wife loves to make me cosplay in the girliest clothes imaginable, probably because it embarrasses me), and someone who probably would have been transgender had I even known it existed when I was a teenager, the idea of being pregnant really weirds me out. Plus, choosing donors versus a sperm bank... it's super weird to me.

lol well as someone who dated a tomboy for 10 years, she always looked so breathtaking on the rare occasion that she dressed girly. So I'm sure your wife is doing that because she loves the way you look in girly clothes.

Unfortunately I don't really have a feminine figure so a lot of the outfits she gets me (mostly Seifuku / anime schoolgirl cosplay stuff) don't look right. But whatever floats her boat I guess.

Not really, just standard phenotypic variance. My Uncle looked pretty much black and his younger brother looked half-black and half-chinese (Chinese grandfather)

Oh yeah definitely. But it does introduce some weird dynamics - like how my brother fit in fine at the Chinese-American student club that hosts our local Lion Dance festivals each year and somehow I didn't (even though my Mandarin is better and I have just as much Chinese heritage lol).
