Just imagine every morning you get up and your commute to work is walking through pouring rain, dodging lightning and being attacked by fucking monsters that are so dangerous most people traveling having armed escorts.

Then you get to work and have to stand in the middle of no where. Hearing the sound of heavy rain and thunder against the walls all day as you count the cracks in the walls.

Then if someone does turn they're probably half dead from the lightning and if they do rent a room, they are going to be soaked and completely wreck it due to coming in out of that constant endless downpour.

So you'd constantly be having to dry and clean even though the Inn is super quiet.

Then when your shift is done you have to go BACK across all the heavy rain, lightning and monsters just to get home. Dry yourself, sleep, then do the whole fucking thing again.

And what's worse is I bet the Guado bitch that runs the Inn in Guadosalam gets paid the same as her if not more. Getting up in a warm bed and walking down a lovely street saying hi to friendly passers by as you go.

Her life sucks.

I think next time I play I'm going to recruit her for Blitzball just so she gets a headcanon break from her shitty shitty life.

Maybe she lives in the agency? That solves one problem at least.

Being a near hermit in one of the most unpleasant places in the world and still being expected to serve and clean up for other people.

But this is the Thunder Plains.

Most of the day you're alone all day. But when people come they will be drenched and wreck everything.

It would be like if someone sprayed a hose across a hotel room in this life. It'd take time and effort to get it set up for the next guy

That's why I said "near" hermit. Because you still have to work and cater to others while being near compeltely alone in a shit place.

I imagine the pay is pretty good.

No one else is gonna open there and you can charge out the ass justifiably.

IIRC (and I usually keep the Aurochs so my BB knowledge is shit)

She's like a Ronso. Has good stats for a mid-fielder but is absurdly slow.

I think at high levels she's really good

X-2 is canon wether you like it or not, your headcanon doesnt change facts. Generally the Thunderplains are safe but Summoners had to go through it which of course included their guardians.

Which is why as we know, the Agency is packed and Yuna/Donna/Isaru traveled alone.

Hell FFX-2 has giant dragons and MFing tanks hanging around there meanwhile YOU have to fix the rods to make them safer (which was a nightmare IIRC)

Despite having a sport that's literally played underwater and multiple locations set on beaches or in deserts. I can't think of a single towel in FFX.

Maybe Yevon forbids them.

Guess they could use Kimarhi. He's like a walking towel

You would be too if you spent 80% of your waking life standing/drying alone in an empty room, hearing rainfall and thunder all day.

That's a story and gameplay disconnect moment.

If Teleportation existed in FFX then there wouldn't be pilgrammages or loss of life from Sin.

Hell nobody would ever need to cross the Thunder Plains.

Think of this: while not impossible, it's highly likely Sin would not show up there due to constant thunderstorms. That might be a selling point for her...

Too much work to animate. You've seen how much Lulu's hair likes to jump around. They probably realized the whole game world revolves around water, had a moment of dread about animating all those towels, and then just said screw it all. Everyone who goes in water just wears leather or water repelling clothes so the water just slides off lol.

As far as the noise of the rain and thunder people do get use to loud sounds and tune them out. Like people who live near train tracks. Sure it sucks at first but eventually they get use to it and can sleep through the late night and early morning trains.

An umbrella won't help in the Thunder Plains, if anything it might just get you killed.

They probably do have towels (although we never see them) but even so. Parties coming in drenched like that would still wreck the place.

I feel like each room would need a severe deep clean/dry after every single usage. Even though it's a quiet hotel

Heck, install one of those air dryers they have at water parks if its that big of an issue.

That would be forbidden by the most popular religion in the world. It would massively piss off their customers

The Thunder Plains aren't even all that dangerous. The rods take care of the lightning.
