Saw that a while ago. Absolutely disgusting, and with what else that channel had to offer was only the tip of the iceberg despite how vile this is even.

Ye, China has had a lot of problems along that direction. A couple of decades ago they had issues with the rice having concrete in it as a filler.

Capitalism finds a way, I suppose.

Many pathogens are dangerous because of the toxic compounds they produce, rather than because of their infectiousness. Heat may not destroy these compounds.

Hmm so far:
Not enough cooking oil
Sewer oil is Kitchen waste, pathogenic bacteria, and pesticides
Re-heating and oxidation produces major toxins of the sewer oil
The sewer oil is 68x more cancerous than arsenic

Will watch more later. Pretty interesting.

i mean

swordfish is one of the most mercury contaminated fish of all the fish we eat

and having eaten swordfish, i'm convinced it just adds to its taste because it's delicious.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading about arsenic being used in the past as a sweetener for stuff like candy, so there's that

Edit: Never mind, this is what I was thinking of

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1858_Bradford_sweets_poisoning

The arsenic wasn't being used as a sweetener, it was accidentally put in as a filler ingredient instead of sugar.

Nah. Cheap cooking oil is everywhere over here. It's recycling the used stuff into biodiesel that's lucrative.

This has been a story for awhile. Along with fake eggs. Oh and fake rice. Tbh any food you get in China is probably going to be higher quality then here. Food is a huge part of their culture. Like they won't eat something if the ingredients aren't the freshest it can possibly be. Food products don't just have expiration dates but the date it was manufactured as well. They don't fuck around with food in China. They literally spend all day cooking. I've only been to China but I've had friends who've been all over Asia everybody agrees China is the top tier for food.

I lived there in 2016 for the year and my face cleared up from the food I ate there. When I got back home I took a massive shit first thing when I stepped foot on u.s soil though. Don't know what that was about . That wasn't my first trip to China, that massive shit happened every time I'd go back to US every time I would visit.

Media has a habit of finding the worst shit going down in the poorest parts of China, India, and Africa, and then presenting it as if it was the standard for the whole country.
