Sometimes there's some bells and whistles thrown in for guys too (like the tough guy is a popular action star or on-the-nose dad jokes that are legit funny to male consumers) so it's easier to convince them to come along. But most of these flicks are made for women who like to fantasize about tough guys. Yeah, like The Pacifier was technically a chick flick, if you didn't realize. Vin Diesel was a hot piece with female consumers back then. Some guys found it entertaining too, but they were not really the primary demographic focused on in the board room, just saying... Hollywood has churned out many formulaic flicks catering to male consumers too.
