the show is set in the the 2030s. Plot is Dwayne Johnson is running for president but he is reflecting back on his youth and how he got to where he is in the 2030s.

I suspect that he made the show as a way to feel out for public attitude about him running for president.

Its funny how these rumors start and play off. Like a seed was planted by some online media, Johnson jokingly acknowledges said rumor, and now its a reality in the back of peoples minds whenever his name comes up. America is such a dumb place sometimes.

I don't see him running, because he'd probably run as a Libertarian if anything, as he's a very "just do whatever you want, just leave me out of it and don't break the law" kind of person.

And running as a Libertarian on anything higher then the local level has zero chance of success.
