i play with my brother and his GF and a friend of ours in real life. they play with precon decks and i just borrow one of my brothers precons while i decide what i want to eventually building paper
ive tried building and tested various different decks online and so far my favourite one has been Jund Elf tribal with Miara and Tana but the thing about that deck is my commanders are pretty garbage because im not really doing any aristocrats stuff. i just use them because the colour identity they give me. i like X spelling people to death if combat win isnt a viable option
i want to be playing a deck where the pieces all click together and become more than the sum of their parts which makes me feel wary about simic or simic + x decks because those often seem to just be about getting maximum value from each individual card.

am i missing something because that sounds really linear. just attack with green dudes and if they dont get blocked you get more green dudes to attack with and if they do youre like :\

Krark and Sakashima (very fun but can make people very angry)
Vorinclex Super Jerks (BIG fun to play especially if your opponents aren't big into blue)
Vorinclex Infect (if you don't care about being hated)
Most versions of Krenko, Mob Boss (MASSIVE damage with Burnt at the Stake and/or Fiery Emancipation)

If you like elf tribal and want more synergy between your Commander and the 99 you could just go for Lathril. You lose out on Red which isn't too big a deal for Elves imo.
