And then it was just as quickly dissolved in Winter Soldier a meager 2 years later. I think that's what annoyed me about WS, they only just introduced this seemingly ubiquitous organization and thought we were gonna learn more about them and the agents in them but nope, apparently they were corrupted by Hydra from the very start... somehow. How you even introduce someone in the fold like that I'll never know, not everyone is that great a liar in a place that probably literally has lie-detector tests every which way you go.

But what truly bothers me is that after they made such a big show and capam's whole "everything has to go, shield hydra all of it" speech they just seemingly brought back the organization with fury having heli carriers in avengers 2 and then calling captain marvel on his space phone in avengers 3 etc

Yeah they really should have made some SHIELD tv show or something.

That's honestly not a bad idea, I would watch that show.

The mcu story is a clusterfuck of disjointed ideas that rarely carry over for more than 2 movies but no one seems to care because RDJ makes funny jokes

I guess it depends on what you mean by introduced? SHIELD first showed up in Iron Man 1 with Coulson

There was SHIELD representation in some form or another in IM2 and Thor also off the top of my head

(too lazy to type the periods for the acronym on my phone)

Been watching all mcu shows in order of release one episode per day.

Just finished daredevil season 2 last night. Was supposed to start AoS4 next but since netflix is removing it, I'll have to wait until it's streaming again. Hopefully soon because I refuse to watch post Endgame releases until I catch up

The outline of the direction of the stories are planned out, the problem they're facing is the exact problem that the comic books face as well... different writers/directors that have different/creative ideas on where to take the story/plot and knowing that if they do make a significant difference in the story how that will effect future films as well. It's why MCU had the "play it safe" and "MCU formula" criticisms for awhile.

Yeah like how in some movies Tony and Pepper have a rock solid relationship and are the standard to which all mcu romances should be measured, and other times they're on the fritz and almost like they're paving the way for Tony to reunite with marisa tomei may and become peter's dad-uncle for realsies.

Still, they handled it way better than other franchises, or even disney's own star wars
