It's so frustrating. I was trying to ladder him into the corner with a queen and rook. I didn't realize he would have no legal moves.

GameFAQs says there are two posts, but there's only one. It must be a glitch.

I've give myself plenty of stalemates with the queen. When I'm know I'm going to win. I try to pull her back. And use other pieces for checkmate. Specifically the rooks.

always make sure you're checking them unless you are on the other side of the board and there aren't any other pieces. also just look up queen rook checkmate patterns.

what's your rating?

It ended like this.

And I had 6 pawns, and a knight in the back.

A great exercise for me was learning the rook king checkmate. for a while I would let them clear the board of everything but a rook if I got them with only a king. kind of a dick move but I needed the practice. this way I gained a better understanding of how to checkmate with a king and rook or king and queen.

Everyone knows a stalemate is bs, you won they need to change the rule already

Nope. A great chess player should be able to win within the confines of the game. Everyone deep into chess knows you have to give the opponent an opportunity to move their king in an area not in check if you're not going to check the king yourself.

If you stalemate after being in a winning position, that's on you.

The last rule change was actually in 2014, with the introduction of the 75-move rule and fivefold repetition. If 75 moves pass without a capture or pawn move and the game has not otherwise ended, the game is a draw. If a position (beyond just the location of the pieces) occurs five times, the game is a draw.
