Mega evolution tbh

Mega Evolution was more fun. Z-Moves at least allowed every Pokemon to participate, even if a select few got their own unique ones.

Dynamax is the worst of both worlds.

I love that everyone is going apeshit for alpha Pokemon, and are completely forgetting that them getting bigger was already a gimmick.

I like the idea of Z moves but they werent all that interesting and with Mega evolutions you can make obsolete pokemon viable again

z moves were the worst. felt like a total waste of time and effort to me.

i kinda liked dynamaxing since any pokemon can do it and some of the gigantamaxes are cool. and visually it's fun seeing them so big. but, it's also something you can only do in gyms and multiplayer kinds of environments, and it's not really that interesting tbh.

mega evolutions are ok. i hate how you have to find a different held item for every species, it's so dumb and it was a hassle to deal with. seeing the types, stats, and abilities changing (and of course the designs) made them fun. It's better than dynamaxing in theory but the problem is only a few dozen pokemon can do it, which is pretty lame.

All of them are bad, but Megas were cool while being bad.

How am I the only one voting for Z moves? Z moves are the only one that actually feels like a natural evolution to the traditional Pokmon gameplay, taking something basic and already established, and expanding upon it. One of the greatest things about Z moves is that they didn't just increase the number of a move's damage output, there was actual utility to them as well. Some moves could have additional effects like debuffing an enemy, or buffing the user or an ally, healing HP or healing status effects, or removing debuffs. There was a LOT of things it could do aside from being a super move. Mega Evolutions felt cool, but gameplay-wise, they were just a mid-battle buff.

Eh, usually but not always. The dynamic in type and ability change could be cool, like with Gyarados and Sableye.

In terms of balance, Z moves. In terms of fun factor, Mega evolutions.

Megas gave new life to otherwise unused Pokes. Think about Mawhile, Kanga, Pinsir, etc.

Hope they bring it back one day. Way better than Z moves or Dynamax.

Megas are cool (some "ruin" certain pokes). Z-moves have some cool applications. Dynamax kinda sucks for PvP.
