Virtual console 1 and 2 gens will be once again stuck together.

Gen 3 will only be able to go to gen 5 and stop there

They need to put out an announcement on if gens 1 to 7 will be made available on Switch

I think it was made in like 2013 or something. It's older than I realized. I never paid much attention to it til very recently though

Pokemon Home is the new thing. It's a longer term solution to the cross gen issue.

Somewhere else I saw something about even bank closing eventually. I dont think it will last forever. But hopefully they plan to have the old games on switch when they end bank

now that im almost 30 i honestly couldn't give less of a fuck about something that entertained me when i was 11.

Not exactly. All gen 1 & 2 Pokemon can be obtained in Pokemon Go & most of the Gen 1 can be obtained in Pokemon Let's Go IIRC. 3 - 6 all have access to 3DS and can be transferred among there to Bank & Home.

Maybe you might not like what you have to do but it's still very possible to "catch them all" using everything available even after the 3DS shop goes down.

By then you should have migrated everyone to home. If you're actually the person who cares about a complete dex you've probably already moved everything you possibly could into home.

It doesn't take a year to catch all the Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon. And even if it did as long as you buy them now you have until as long as it takes them to shut down Pokemon bank to finish it. You're not under some kind of harsh time limit here.

So I might be in trouble. I'll try it. But I'm not sure I will succeed. Do I wish I came up with this project 10 years? Of course. But it still sucks

I'll feel better if they port all the old games though

I never actually played Black and White so I still have like a dozen special rare event legendaries stuck on Diamond. >____>;
