Hoping for that Xenoblade X on the Switch

As a piece of hardware, it was an inoffensive novelty.

Judged by its software, it was pretty good. But it's got Sega Dreamcast syndrome where almost every game worth playing on it was eventually ported to superior platforms. >_>

It's gonna be super collectable in the future.

I don't regret having one, but it's largely irrelevant because everything I care about got ported to Switch except WWHD and TPHD. Now it's a VC box, but I still like it.

Those plus that xeno game (garoshi iirc?) someone always posts about. I would be happy with those three.

I liked it and I never thought it made much sense that it failed so badly. Yeah I know calling it the Wii U was a terrible idea. The marketing wasn't good. As far as the console itself though, it has a terrible primary controller. That's the only problem. Like if you compare it to the Switch, other than the Switch being newer and actually getting the handheld part right, it doesn't really do a whole lot more than the Wii U did.

Wii U is great if you hack it. Other than that, nah.

Shitty is a bit too far, but it's something that was plagued by so many problems that failure was inevitable.

It was definitely an idea that Nintendo didn't really think through on how it would be useful. Extremely limited connection to be able to have Off-TV play reliably, most games just used the GamePad screen as a map...very underutilized.

I regretted buying it even though I played BotW on it initially as I didnt have a switch at the moment. The eShop was neat but its a shame the games were never upscaled and looked awful on an HDTV at the time.

it had the best controller since gamecube, its first party titles were good, had the best iteration of virtual console, was backwards compatible with wii games. people always say it was shitty and they skipped it, like no shit you skipped it, otherwise you'd be able to tell how full of shit you are

then the janky ass malfunction-prone gimmick motion controllers come back and everyone loses their shit. i'll never understand it
