You defeat a team member in a pokemon battle. They get all mad, then say "whatever kid..." and then pull out a gun

Then your Pokemon journey would end.

They pull out a gun then your little electric mouse fries them dead

I always figured they give up because there's nothing preventing your pocket sized living weapons from killing them once their pokemon all faint

They pull out a gun and then get shot by officer Jenny and then they're arrested

Imagine if you decided to rest up in the bed in the evil team's lair and you woke up and discovered they took the opportunity to steal your Poke Balls, leaving you entirely helpless. Then they beat you to within an inch of your life and sold you into slavery in an as of yet unmentioned region where there are no Pokemon battles because "trainers" instead solve their differences by making abused children fight to the death. Then you woke up again and realized it was all a dream and you actually never even left home because your mother wasn't a neglectful bitch who lets a 10 year go wandering across the country for no reason, and because of her kindness and love the bad guys destroyed the universe. Or recreated it. Or flooded it. Or all of the above. And it's all Mom's fault.

Remember when Bill somehow turned himself into a Pokemon but then seemingly nobody went within a mile of that technology again?
That coulda been some chaos.

Imagine if the Evil Teams stole all of the Lopunny and Gardevoir.
