Would you be okay with animals eating you after you die?

Brian Laundrie's body was "scavenged" and EATEN to the BONE by wild animals such as COYOTES after he shot himself in the head in a suicide after admitting in a note to murdering his girlfriend, Gabby Petito!!

They finally found him in the woods and almost all that remained of his corpse was skeletal remains that were scatterd on top of the dirt ground in "plain sight"

Search groups found a backpack and shoes that were identified as belongings to Brian Laundrie

The coroner released details on the 23 y/o's death that said he received extensive carnivore activity as evidenced by multiple gouging and gnawing marks on his dead body most common with feral dogs, coyotes and rodents and raccoons

It confirmed that he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to his head as the media and police made a frantic search to find him

All that was left of him was a few bones from his teeth and his face upon the discovery of the remains and he had no drugs in his system

The dramatic search for him ended in dramatic fashion as the whole country were in search of the fugitive killer using millions in resources to find him only to discover he had been close by all along

Would you want animals to eat you after you die?.

I would be dead. I would therefore have no opinion of it because being dead I would not be capable of having an opinion.

This whole thing still sounds flaky. I remain convinced something else is going on, that he might have faked his death.

...meaning that the only thing to really ID him was his belongings, which he could have left along with somebody else's corpse, possibly even another one of his victims because I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like this had killed before. The fact his whole family just went about their lives acting like nothing happened is just insane. That's some dark shit.

And why is that? I've heard this before, but only from people who were strangely fascinated by this story from the beginning.

Lack of evidence, and the fact that the father -- who helped him cover up the initial crime -- was the one who reported finding the remains and, iirc, it was in area that was already searched.

Because everything has to be a conspiracy theory now.

If there was a body, it would be. However, there wasn't even an intact skull. The dental match was apparently made against loose teeth. Offhand, I can't even remember if any of the teeth were even secured to the skull, but they had to reconstruct the skull

If you read Ducky's post at the start of this topic, it covers the fact the skeleton was mostly raided by scavengers, although he doesn't go into as much detail.

Anyway, after an extensive search through the area -- which also has hikers going through there on a regular basis -- Brian's parents just so happen to find Brian's stuff near a collection of loose bones, which they bring authorities to.

And those remains were in such bad condition that the first two experts ruled it inconclusive. At this point, it seems pretty clear they rushed shit just to close the books on this case, and mostly to save face because this investigation went nowhere before social media influencers got involved. The cops were content to just leave it as a missing persons case.

Again, who found the remains? And those remains were found AFTER the area was already searched and you had hikers in the area, yet they're claiming he was dead and there all along. That shit doesn't add up. However, we know that the family had initially covered for him -- you know, the same family who just happened to find the remains.

And considering the number of people who have faked their deaths only to turn up years later, it's hardly implausible, especially given what we know about the dirtbag family.

Apparently the area where he was found was previously underwater. The remains matched his dental records. You have nothing at all to base your suspicions on except your irrational distrust of everybody. I think you're one of those people who was obsessed with this story and disappointed by the ending.

That's a very hard claim to swallow considering they found an intact suicide note. If you have a note submerged under water, how exactly is anybody going to read it?

And again, the claim was scavengers -- particularly canines -- got to the body. How'd that happen if he was underwater?

You mean some teeth which, as noted, weren't connected to the skull. And afaik they only found *some* of the teeth because the skull was in such bad shape.

Again, none of the claims add up, and the initial round of experts had zero luck. Considering the cops didn't want to investigate the case in the first place and the furor it raised -- since they had to discourage protestors from being near the house -- it definitely looks like they're just trying to close the case without asking many questions, which is the SAME approach from when they failed to investigate the initial disappearance.

Considering the family tried to cover up the crime -- and, by the way, was never charged with anything -- and then just "happened" to find the body in a place searched many times already, something feels fishy. And it's not fish because canines were eating the bones, not fish.

If anything, I think I would prefer to have my remains return to the Earth in some way.

I've heard of people being planted with a tree so the tree feeds on the corpse's nutrients. Being eaten by animals would probably be quicker.
