As most of you are probably aware of, I have been overly emotional in my life, it's nice to work on getting that under control.

Breathing exercises have also helped quite a bit.

Pretty sure what you need is therapy, not philosophy, though they do intersect at times.

CBT is probably a good fit, though I will say I have had a couple of sessions of EMDR and it was some of the most brutal stuff I ever experienced but you know what? Felt better about the events processed afterward and have ever since. Didn't expect to either. I only stopped doing it because of the cost.
