Now I have to wait until Monday to call my post office to begin to figure out what they've done with it

Carrier supervisors are in the office until 7pm, and the office is open from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.

If you are in an apt complex check your mailbox. Even if you are 100% sure it's too big to fit in there... you'd be surprised.

One I excuse I got after receiving my package from the mailman at 6PM: "We scan them as delivered by 5PM so it doesn't show it as late or delayed in their system."

USPS's FAQ says "In rare cases, package may show as 'delivered' but could take additional 24 hours."

That's bs. I mean an hour or two I can accept for but 24 hours after you tell me the package is here, I've already looked into options for getting my money back. Luckily I had insurance on this ones

Yeah, I agree. I mean literally anything can happen after releasing responsibility from themselves after signing it off as "delivered" even up to them stealing it for themselves.

my front neighbor had a package he opened that had my name but he returned it

i get kids are excited but damn i really hope his kid opened it and isnt using him as an excuse

also i've "Lost" a PS5 in the mail before

My post office is open from 9-12 today but it's like the phones are turned off. The call ends as soon you dial the number.

This is maddening.

I'm not saying it wasn't stolen or sent to the wrong house, but ever since like 2019-2020, I've had multiple instances of packages (and mail items) being shown as delivered but not actually being in my mailbox or on the porch until a day or two later.

4:50pm yesterday. Just a few mins before I got home.

I'm not ruling out that it's been stolen, but that's not my first thought here. I think it's more likely it was scanned as delivered and is going to be making it here today or next week.

But if that's the case, it shouldn't be hard for someone to answer the phone and just let me know anything that can help me out here. Like the location of the package when it was "delivered".

Once I'm certain it's lost/stolen, I'll make a claim. This was a valuable package and I'm counting my blessings now that it had insurance on it.

ever since dejoy took the rein. they started closing on saturday too. cant get money order or stamps on that day.
mail if any still goes out but they don't conduct service.

yep. i learned the hard way. back where i used to live the post office wasn't more than a 10 min walk.

Package came.
