Friend of mine has been struggling lately. Hes always dealt with mental health problems.

Hes recently been dealing with extreme anxiety, to the point of keeping him up all night, and making him ill.

He checked himself in and was there for about a week. Let me and his mom know beforehand so we werent worrying. Ended up getting a couple prescriptions.

No one has heard from him for a week now. Not me, his mom, his job called looking for him.

I dont want to make matters worse by getting his apartment or police involved, but this is really concerning

...yeah, THAT part is definitely grounds for a check. With that being said, your first move could be to try and visit him yourself before getting anyone else involved, maybe?

Has done anything on social media or anything where you can tell he's still around, but just ghosting?

Yeah, that's more than reasonable

After a week I'd file a missing persons report, welfare check only works if they know where to find him

Apparently someone else called today, because the police were there around 1pm to check in on him. They said he's in a rough spot, but aren't in a position to take him or force him to talk to anyone... so hopefully he comes around soon

But I feel like his problems are just going to get worse if this keeps up. I know he's missed a lot of work lately with mental health struggles, eventually they're going to have to let him go if it continues, then he'll lose the apartment, car, everything he's worked so hard for. his anxiety is only going to get worse with those circumstances.

unfortunately he lives in one of those giant ass apartment complexes. Like 5 high rise buildings with 300 units each.

when I called to figure out the unit, they wouldnt even confirm that he lived there.

otherwise Id go drop something off
